Premium materials in stone, fabric, and wood
Here we are on an upper floor of a high rise apartment building on the middle of the city. The uplifting feeling of living in such a space is not unlike that of wearing the finest cashmere. So, our goal here was a luxurious atmosphere that conveys a pleasant sense of warmth and comfort.
Gradations of beige and gray were chosen as key colors so that each material inspired a an air of natural depth.
Stone that carries a sense of stillness even amidst the bustle of the city
Directly facing the entrance are large, expressive stone tiles also often used in outdoor settings. They convey a sense of dignity and calm. The tiles continue up to the livingroom, unifying both spaces and creating a sense of character that symbolizes the entire home.
The stone continues on from the entryway a unified living, dining, and kitchen space color gradations
Color gradations were used to bring harmony to the stone, fabric, and wood, with result being an open-feeling living space that seems to continue into the sky.
A bed by Molteni & C
The Molteni & C bed was imported directly from Italy. We chose distinctive stone tiles to suit it. Their respective presences bring the space together and give it an even classier feel.
A modern and natural space for guests
A small bird pattern was chosen to fit the atmosphere like that of a hotel room. Our hope was that this would help even first-time guests enjoy a more relaxed time.
Distinctive marbled tiling
The marbled glass tiles here match the deep brown hue of the sink counter. They have a sense of transparency and a gentle expression.
